A corner of serenity and calm within the crazy world of design and portfolio websites.
That's what I am going for anyway. I'm certainly still finding my voice as a designer but so far I have discovered I am not loud. I like quiet, calm spaces. Beautifully lit, simply furnished with great attention to detail (yes I am still talking about my new website.) I am hugely inspired by Scandinavian design and living. The concept of Hygge (Hu-Gah) originating from Denmark is my idea of heaven. There is no direct translation for Hygge, but the closest would probably be cosy. Danes get Hygge during the long dark winter months, they buy all the candles (I mean all!) close the curtains and snuggle down in there immensely well insulated houses and beautifully decorated interiors.
So the concept for my website is a mix of calm, hygge, blue, crisp loveliness. The design is very simple, hopefully getting to he point fairly quickly, the point being my folio of work. I don't want to give away too much but lets just say the homepage might be a place you just want to hang out from time to time with a cup of green tea and a wonderfully crafted acoustic spotify playlist.
